View, reschedule, and cancel your appointments

This article includes videos and step-by-step instructions on how you can use the Rula patient portal to view, reschedule, and cancel upcoming appointments without needing to contact customer support!

Please note: At this time, appointments can be canceled or rescheduled one at a time. If you would like to modify an entire series of appointments, please contact support@rula.com. You can view this article for additional information about managing psychiatry appointments. 

Viewing Appointments

When you visit the Rula patient portal, you'll land on the Appointments page. If you need detailed instructions for logging in, visit this article.

Here, you'll be able to see the date and time of your upcoming appointments. Within each appointment card, you can view:

  • The name of the provider
  • Indication if it is your first appointment with that provider
  • The date and time of the appointment
  • The appointment type 

You can also take the following actions described below:

  • Cancel your appointment
  • Reschedule your appointment

Please review Rula's no-show and late cancellation policy before modifying appointments. 

Rescheduling Appointments

You can reschedule initial appointments and follow-up appointments from within the Appointments tab of the portal. Watch the following video for step-by-step instructions or read the how-to steps below.

  1. Log into the Rula patient portal here. For instructions on how to do this, please click here
  2. Navigate to the Appointments page
  3. Click the three horizontal dots in the top right of the appointment you wish to reschedule
  4. Click Reschedule appointment

    Note: If your appointment is less than 24 hours away, you will be charged a last-minute reschedule fee according to Rula's cancellation policy. For therapy this is $99, for psychiatry this is $150. 
  5. Select the desired time slot from your provider's availability
    Note: If your provider does not have availability, you'll see this screen. Please contact them directly to reschedule, or contact support.

  6. Confirm the appointment details and click Reschedule Appointment
  7. You'll see an indication at the top of the portal once your appointment is successfully rescheduled and the provider has been notified. 

Canceling Appointments

You can cancel first appointments and follow-ups from within the Appointments tab of your portal. Watch the following video for step-by-step instructions or read the how-to steps below.

Important Note: When initial appointments are canceled in the portal, the four follow-up appointments automatically booked with that appointment are also canceled. When follow-up appointments are canceled, only that appointment is changed.

  1. Log into the Rula patient portal here. For instructions on how to do this, please click here
  2. Navigate to the Appointments page
  3. Click the three horizontal dots in the top right of the appointment you wish to reschedule
  4. Click Cancel appointment

  5. Click Yes, cancel appointment to confirm cancellation
    Note: If the appointment is less than 24 hours away, you'll be charged a late cancellation fee according to Rula's cancellation policy. For therapy this is $99, for psychiatry, this is $150. 
  6. You'll see an indication that your appointment is successfully canceled, and you'll no longer see the appointment in the upcoming appointments list.
