The Resource Library found in the Practice tab of the Rula mobile app is where you'll find guided exercises and helpful articles to support you between therapy appointments. The idea is simple: the work you do in session doesn't have to stop when the session ends. These clinically reviewed resources give you clear, guided ways to keep practicing — whether your therapist suggests something specific or you want to explore on your own.
Two ways to find resources
Your therapist can share exercises and articles with you after a session. When they do, you'll see them in your session summary, with the resource name, whether it's a reading or a practice, and about how long it'll take.
You can also browse everything yourself anytime in the app's Practice tab. You don't have to wait to be assigned something — if a topic feels relevant to you, it's there to explore.
How the Resource Library is organized
The Library has two simple sections:
- My toolkit — resources you've saved for easy access plus everything your therapist has sent you. Anything your therapist shares is added here automatically, and you can remove any you don't want.
- All resources — the full library of articles and exercises, which you can filter by topic like Anxiety & Stress, Depression, or Relationships.
The exercises and articles
Each exercise starts with a quick intro that explains what it is, what it's for, and how long it takes. Some help you work through thoughts and feelings, some help you plan and follow through on activities, and some help you relax or feel more grounded in the moment. Articles walk you through a topic and sometimes link out to a related exercise.
If you ever feel stuck partway through, look for the "Feeling stuck" option — it offers extra guidance to help you keep going.
Reminders to help you follow through
For exercises that involve planning something — like doing a small activity or having a difficult conversation — you can choose a date and time and even add it to your calendar. The app will send you a friendly check-in reminder the day after you scheduled the activity so you can reflect on how it went. If it didn't happen, that's okay — you can simply reschedule.
Sharing with your therapist is your choice
After finishing an exercise or article, you rate how helpful it was and note anything you'd like to remember. Optionally, you can share your responses with your therapist. This can help them understand what's working for you and support you better. But it's completely optional — you can always close without sharing.
If you're having a hard moment
Your wellbeing comes first. If something you write while doing an exercise suggests you might be struggling or at risk, the app will pause to share ways to get support right away, including a crisis support line, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and a reminder to call 911 if you're in immediate danger. You're never alone in these moments.
