Managing Your Email Notifications

If you feel you're receiving too many emails from Rula and want to reduce them, here's the actions you can take. There are some settings you can control and some that you cannot.

How do I unsubscribe from marketing emails?

Scroll to the footer of any marketing email you've received from us and click the Unsubscribe link. This will stop future marketing emails from being sent to that email address. If you're unable to locate a marketing email to unsubscribe from, you can contact our support team and an agent will be able to opt you out on your behalf.

Which emails can I unsubscribe from?

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails only. These are promotional messages, newsletters, and other non-essential communications. Note that email notifications alerting you about new messages from your provider in the patient portal are also included in this category — unsubscribing from marketing emails will turn these off as well.

Are there emails I cannot unsubscribe from?

Yes. Emails that contain important information about your care cannot be turned off. These are called transactional emails, and they include appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, cancellation and reschedule confirmations, and account-related notices such as requests to update your credit card or insurance information.

I'm still getting emails after unsubscribing. What should I do?

If you unsubscribed but are still receiving marketing emails, note that it can take a several days for the change to take effect after unsubscribing. Please contact our support team so we can look into it.
