Updating your insurance information

Most Rula patients can use the Rula patient portal to update their insurance information on file without needing to contact Customer Support! This article includes a video and step-by-step instructions.

Updating Your Insurance Information On File with Rula

Log into the Rula patient portal here. If you need help doing this, please follow these instructions.

If you are unable to access the Rula patient portal after following the instructions, please email us at support@rula.com and one of our team members will be happy to assist you.

Once logged in, complete the below steps to update your insurance information on file with Rula.

  • Click Profile on the lefthand side of the screen to show your account details.
  • Click edit in the Medical billing section.

  • Enter all of your insurance information, including uploading images of the front and back of your insurance card.
    • Note: If you do not have a physical insurance card, please take screenshots of your insurance card information located in your insurance carrier’s app or online portal and upload that instead.


Your insurance information is now updated in Rula’s system and will be used for billing going forward! Once our Billing team has verified your insurance benefits, you will receive an automated email notification stating your updated coverage and an estimate of your out-of-pocket costs - please note, it can take up to 48 hours to receive this email, but most are received within 24 hours.
