At Rula, we understand that healthcare expenses can sometimes be challenging to manage. We offer payment plans (upon request) to support patients that may accumulate a balance or have financial obligations that do not allow them to settle a balance at once.
Rula offers several ways to resolve your balance, including options that allow you to split payments over time on a schedule that works for you.
Review the options below to find the approach that works best for you.
Pay your balance directly
You can settle your balance at any time by making a manual payment in the AdvancedMD patient portal.
Accepted payment methods:
- Credit or debit card
- HSA/FSA cards

If needed, you can update your payment method in the Rula patient portal before making a payment or for upcoming charges.

FAQs
Will applying for financing affect my credit score?
Financing providers may perform eligibility checks. Each partner will explain how their process works before you apply.
What happens if I’m not approved?
If financing is not available, balances can still be resolved using credit/debit cards or HSA/FSA funds.
What happens after I issue a payment with CareCredit?
Once you complete a payment through CareCredit, your Rula balance will be marked as paid in full. Any installment payments will be managed directly through the financing provider. Afterward, please ensure you have an active payment method on file in the Rula patient portal for future sessions.
Can I still see my Rula provider while I’m on a payment plan?
Yes! If you pay an outstanding balance with CareCredit, your care with Rula can continue without interruption.
Can I use CareCredit for future sessions?
Financing options such as CareCredit can help resolve an existing balance. Future sessions will continue to be billed to the payment method you keep on file in the Rula Patient Portal.
Can I set up a payment plan directly with Rula?
At this time, Rula is not enrolling accounts in internal payment plans due to a transition to a new billing system.
Who do I talk to if I still have questions about CareCredit?
You can contact CareCredit directly for questions about your CareCredit bill, approvals and credit line increases, technical support, or applying by phone with CareCredit. You can also review CareCredit FAQs.
