If you would like to resume your care with a previous provider, Rula’s patient portal makes it easy to book an appointment with a provider who was previously on your care team. This article includes step-by-step instructions for how to resume treatment and provides additional information about what to expect during and after booking.
Guided Steps
- Log in to the Rula patient portal
- Either navigate to the Care Team tab and select “Past providers”
- Or select “Book Appointment” from the Appointments tab, then click “Past providers”
- Select the provider you’d like to schedule an appointment with and click “Book Appointment”
- Select an available date and time from your provider’s calendar
- Include a note to let your provider know why you’d like to resume treatment
- Click “Confirm Appointment”
- You’ll see a success message that your new appointment has been booked, and the provider has been notified.
Important notes:
- Rula will send you an email confirming your appointment or requesting more information prior to your appointment.
- Once your appointment is successfully booked, you will be directed to complete your intake form and pre-appointment check-in.
What limitations might I encounter?
Provider Availability:
- If the provider you selected doesn’t have any availability, you will not be able to book an appointment directly using the portal.
- In this event, you can reach out to your provider through the Messaging tab to discuss their availability.
Providers no longer with Rula:
- If your provider is no longer with Rula, they will be visible in your “Past providers” tab, but will not be bookable.
